The UCAS application should be submitted to UCAS between 1 September and 15 October. Some applicants may be required to submit an additional application form therefore please read the following guidance notes carefully. In the 'choices' section of your UCAS application, you should indicate your application to Cambridge. If you name Cambridge, you may not also name Oxford (unless applying as a graduate for an undergraduate course). Under 'campus code', you must add the code for the Cambridge College you wish to apply to or if you are submitting an 'open application' (ie not naming a College), you should enter 'Open application (9)' under 'campus code'. Shortly after submitting your UCAS application, the University of Cambridge will email asking you to complete an online Supplementary Application Questionnaire (SAQ). In order to make a valid application to the University of Cambridge you must submit your SAQ by the deadline set. ADDITIONAL APPLICATION FORMS. There is an additional application form to be used by students applying for the Cambridge Graduate Course in Medicine which is available from the University website and the three participating Colleges. If you are currently living in a country outside Europe, you must submit a Cambridge Online Preliminary Application (COPA) as well as a UCAS application. The COPA and the UCAS application must both be submitted by the appropriate deadline below: (a) 9 September - those wishing to be interviewed in India; (b) 20 September - those wishing to be interviewed in Malaysia, Singapore or PR China; (c) 15 October - those wishing to be interviewed in Cambridge, Canada, Hong Kong or Pakistan. You can access the COPA from the University website. To apply for a Choral Award and/or Organ Scholarship, you must submit a Cambridge Online Preliminary Application (COPA) by 1 September (Organ Scholarships) or 12 September (Choral Awards). You can access the COPA from the University website. DEADLINES. The standard deadline for submission of the UCAS application for Cambridge is 15 October. Early application deadlines apply for students wishing to be interviewed overseas and those wishing to apply for a Choral or Organ Scholarship (see above for details). The four mature Colleges (Hughes Hall, Lucy Cavendish, St Edmund's and Wolfson), however, will also consider applications submitted after this date from some mature and affiliated applicants as part of a second application round, the deadline for which is 1 March. All mature applicants wishing to make an open application or who want to apply to a standard-age College, must submit their application by the 15 October deadline. Similarly, all applicants for Architecture, History of Art, Law, Medicine (including the Graduate Course in Medicine), Music, Philosophy, PPS and Veterinary Medicine must submit their application by 15 October. COLLEGE INFORMATION. For admission to Cambridge, it is necessary to be accepted by a Cambridge College. You must include details of the College you wish to apply to by adding the appropriate College code or 'Open application (9)' for an open application. Your application cannot be fully processed without this information. Please check carefully that you use the correct code for the College to which you wish to apply. Please note Lucy Cavendish, Murray Edwards, and Newnham are for women only; and Hughes Hall, Lucy Cavendish, St Edmund's, and Wolfson are for mature (over 21) undergraduates only. Applications to more than one College, or to a College and also an open application, are NOT allowed. Interviews Interviews form an important part of our selection procedure. Most UK/EU applicants are invited to interview. See website for more information.
